Lulu 2003
Lulu 2005
Just had a look at the updated site.  Needless to say, I am disgusted.  I WAS excited about and looking forward to making the video clip, and
expected you to send me my photos via email before putting them up.  As I have not been properly compensated for ANY of the shoots I have done
with you, I guess it was too much to expect.  And as if that weren't enough, putting up the most unflattering of them all.  All this, despite the fact that
I was most loyal and reliable.
The mind boggles at why models do not want to work with you!  You would have to be the most disrespectful, exploitative, unfriendly, uncaring,
selfish photographers I have ever had the misfortune of working with.  And I have the bruises on my legs as reminder of this.
Anyway, I'm glad that I passed up the shoot on Sunday in favor of a paid shoot.  If any model asks me about my experience working with you, I
will have no qualms in telling them exactly what I have told you.
Some people might question why I would put up negative emails.
It seems to be a common practice now to hold in your thoughts/opinions and then hide behind the safety of email, or text
messages, to express yourself, safe from any reaction. I think everyone needs to be made accountable for their actions.

Over the past few years I have received several emails like this from models who, during interviews and shoots, kept
quiet, only to blast me via email after the fact. They were usually over-reacting to something that could have easily been
prevented, if only the girls had spoken up.

As for the email above, Lulu has now missed out on getting future paid work with us, or images for her portfolio or
websites and appearing in a upcoming music video, all because she jumped the gun with an email and did not speak up in
person.
Our agreement with Lulu was that we would do test shoots with her, while she was attempting to lose weight, before we
got back into doing film shoots which she would be paid in lingerie from 'Chyler Dark'.
We did 3 shoots with Lulu over the last month and a half. The first she loved, the second she liked and the 3rd she didn't
return to look at.
We designed each test shoot to flatter her new body/look. We shot around her insecurities, which can be very limiting
when shooting fashion, and we allowed her to wear her own makeup to make her feel more comfortable. We planned the
shoots to fit around her schedule not ours. We didn't complain when she turned up late and tired and we always offered
her a lift home .We gave photos to her from her previous shoots with us, along with the current shoots, and allowed her
to have a say in what images we displayed on our website, which is unheard of in the modelling/ photographic industry.
.As for her saying the last shoot photos were 'unflattering' that comes down to personal taste. Lulu did put on weight
since our shoots a year ago but I would never say that she was fat or suggest that she needs to lose weight. Women
should have curves and flesh, they shouldn't continue the vicious cycle by hiding it or being disgusted by it.
Those nasty words she called us were totally unfounded. At the end of the day it is Lulu who is going to gain more from
working with us than we are from her. She will display our images on her modelling site and get paid work.
Our site is purely creative expression we do not make a cent from the images. We are completely self funded and, in
fact, we lose money hosting our websites etc so people can view our images.
We are not amateur photographers who book models and then shoot them using digital cameras at parks in the clothes
they turn up in. This costs the photographer almost no money.
We design and make all the outfits, design and style hair and makeup, purchase props and construct new sets for each
shoot. Design new lighting for each shoot and usually work with film whenever possible. An average shoot would cost
between $300-$700 dollars plus many hours of prep.
No photographers go to this much trouble to shoot a model TFP. Models have to pay hundreds of dollars for portfolio
shots like the ones we give away for free. Selfish indeed!
